Yashwant Mahadik is a seasoned global HR professional with over 25 years of experience across industries/sectors and geography in top-class companies viz. Colgate Palmolive, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson and is currently Head of HR Business Transformation & Chief Learning Officer at Philips. He has established a track record of success in all his roles and assignments and his experience is diverse and varies across industries/sectors (Industrial, Consumer and Healthcare) and geographies (India, UK, Japan, USA, ASEAN and European countries). In his last three companies (over the past ten years) he has held senior executive level positions as Head and Leader of the Human Resource function at an enterprise level. His strengths and areas of expertise include; Strategy (Business, Workforce and HR functional), HR and Organization Transformation, Leadership Development, Organization and Culture building, Capability Building, Workforce Design & Planning, Talent Management and Succession Planning, Merger/Acquisition Integration and Executive Coaching. He has led transformation programs and initiatives in J&J and Philips at global enterprise level. He is recognized amongst top 50 most powerful HR professionals of the country and is a leading HR thought leader who has worked in association with leading academicians in USA for conceptualizing and executing global strategic initiatives in areas of Human Resource Management. In addition to his experience in HR leadership roles he has also worked and performed in line/business roles. He was the Manufacturing Manager responsible for a COGS P&L in Colgate Palmolive (Two years), he was the acting Sales Head for AstraZeneca (One year) and was the head of Surgical Institutes responsible for customer skill and market development in Johnson & Johnson (one year). Born in Gwalior, educated in Scindia School Gwalior, he went on to complete his B.com from RA Podar College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai and his MBA from University of Sheffield, UK (topped the batch). He is married and has a college going son and daughter and his family resides in Mumbai. Has high social (development sector) orientation – believes in giving his money and time for social developmental causes related to underprivileged. Is an avid golfer and enjoys travelling and reading. He is currently based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
