Edgar Meyer
HR Lecturer COTRUGLI Business School
Mr. Meyer is with the University of Southampton since 2000. Originally from Germany, his academic development brought him from Health Studies and Management (BSc) to Knowledge Management in Teams (PhD).
After working as a Research Student, Research Fellow and Lecturer at the School of Management (2000-2005), he moved within the University in 2005 to take on the academic leadership of a HEFCE-funded Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning for Interprofessional Learning across the Public Sector.
In that time he worked closely with Local Authorities and Children’s Trust to support the development of multi-agency teamwork and change leadership across a range of sectors and services.
In 2009 he rejoined the School of Management as a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management (HRM) and Organisational Behaviour (OB).
He is the Director of the MBA and teaches a variety of subjects in HRM and OB with an emphasis on Leadership, Teamwork, Collaborative Working, and Change Management in Organisations. • ESRC PhD studentship (2000-2003) • Visiting Lecturer at Tokyo Metropolitan University and Cotrugli Business School (Croatia) • Area Editor for Knowledge Management Health Systems Journal
